Course description and objectives This will be the first annual scientific meeting of the Canadian Neuromodulation Society. The program will focus on new development of neuromodulation techniques for pain and neurological diseases. There will be two keynote lectures, one on future of neuromodulation and one on review of mechanisms of neuromodulation in pain. There will be an oral presentation for scientific papers and Annual General Meeting as well. Participants will be able to identify and assess the suitable candidate to expand the indications of various neuromodulation devices; will be able to understand the various mechanisms of neuromodulation pain management; will be able to stratify their pharmacologic options in patients with neuropathic pain. Accreditation This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by University of Toronto (9.5 credit hours). The Continuing Medical Education Office of the University of Toronto designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.5credit hours in Category 1 of the Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
