NFL VIRTUAL TAILGATE REGISTRATION CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS
1. GENERAL

The NFL VIRTUAL TAILGATE REGISTRATION CONTEST (the "Contest”) is open to legal
residents of Canada and shall be construed according to the laws of the Province of Ontario,
Canada. YOU MUST HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN YOUR PROVINCE/
TERRITORY OF RESIDENCE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER. By
registering at www.nfltailgate.ca and checking the “I accept the contest rules and regulations”
box, you acknowledge that you have reached the age of majority in your province/territory of
residence and have read, understand and will comply with these official rules & regulations (the
Official Rules”) in their entirety. The Official Rules are final and binding on all matters pertaining
to the Contest. This Contest may not be used in any form of gambling.
2. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest runs from December 16, 2013 at 12:00:01 A.M. Eastern Time (“ET”), until 11:59:59
P.M. ET on January 3, 2014 (the “Contest Period”).
3. ELIGIBILITY

No purchase is necessary to enter or to win the Contest. The Contest is offered electronically via
the Internet to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their
province/territory of residence at the time of entry. PERSONS RESIDING IN OTHER
JURISDICTIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN ANY PRIZES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS
CONTEST. Employees, representatives and agents of NFL Canada Company (the “Contest
Sponsor
”), the National Football League and its member clubs, NFL Ventures Inc. and NFL
Ventures L.P, and each of their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries and
advertising/promotion agencies, the Contest judges, as well as anyone with whom such persons
are domiciled (whether related or not) are not eligible.
4. HOW TO ENTER

a. How to Enter.
To enter the Contest, visit www.nfltailgate.ca (the “Website”) during the Contest Period and
register on the Website using (i) a valid social media account on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or
Google+ or (ii) a valid e-mail address. Then provide the required profile information, including
your name, address, and e-mail address, and click “I accept the contest rules and regulations” to
receive one (1) entry into the Contest.
If you do not have a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ or email account you can obtain one
for free at www.facebook.com, www.twitter.com, www.instagram.com, or www.google.com.
Entries by phone, fax, courier or mail will not be accepted. This Contest is in no way sponsored,
endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google.
There is a limit of one entry per person during the Contest Period, regardless of how many email addresses or social media accounts a person may have. Anyone found attempting to use multiple identities to participate in the Contest may be disqualified. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry into the Contest will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address by an online service provider, Internet access provider or other organization responsible for assigning the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. An entrant may be
required to provide the Contest Sponsor with proof that she or he is the authorized account holder
of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. All entries become the property of the
Contest Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
By entering the Contest, each entrant represents and warrants to the Contest Sponsor that his or
her entry will not contain content that he/she does not have the right to transmit under any law,
contract or fiduciary relationship or which contains any viruses or any other information that may
damage or otherwise interfere with the Contest Sponsor’s computer systems or data or that of the
Contest Sponsor's users. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to remove any entry or refuse
to allow an entry based on content.
b. Winner Selection.
The potential winner will be randomly selected by a draw from among all eligible entries received
during the Contest Period (the " Prize Draw"). The Prize Draw will take place on [January 10,
2014 at 12:00:00 PM ET at 47 Colborne Street, Suite 401, Toronto, Ontario, M5E 1P8. The
Contest Sponsor will make reasonable attempts to contact the potential winner by e-mail within
five (5) business days following the Prize Draw. If the potential winner is unable to be contacted
or does not respond after three (3) attempts over at least two (2) business days, or if any prize
notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the Prize, and the Contest
Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, randomly select an alternate entrant from among the
remaining eligible entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to the
new selected entrant).
5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION

There is one (1) prize available to be won (the “Prize”). Estimated value of the Prize is
approximately $5000 CAD (based on departure between Toronto, Ontario and Miami, Florida.
The Prize consists of the following: one (1) trip for two (2) people (winner and guest) to a 2014
NFL Regular Season game, which includes two (2) tickets for one (1) 2014 NFL Regular Season
game of the winner’s choice (game must be held in the United States or Canada and is subject to
availability, specific seating is to be determined by the Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute
discretion), roundtrip economy airfare for two (2) people (from the major international airport in
Canada closest to the winner’s residence to an airport close to the city where game will be held,
as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion), two (2) nights standard hotel
accommodation (double occupancy) at a hotel selected by the Contest Sponsor and $500 CAD
spending cash (for winner only). If the winner’s residence is less than 240 kms from the city in
which the NFL game will take place, the winner and guest will not receive any airfare and the
remainder of the Prize will be awarded in full satisfaction of the Prize. The winner will be
responsible for ground transportation in that circumstance. The winner and guest shall assume
full responsibility for any expense not specifically mentioned in these Official Rules as being
included in the Prize, including but not limited to the following: travel to and from airport, ground
transportation generally, personal expenses incurred at the hotel, room service, gratuities, meals
and beverages, taxes, fees, insurance (including for medical fees, accidents or lost luggage) and
any other personal expenses. The winner’s guest must have reached the age of majority in
his/her province or territory of residence as of the date the winner’s Declaration was signed (see
rule 7 below) unless the winner is the parent or legal guardian of the guest and signs a
declaration and release to that effect and/or provides sufficient evidence of such relationship.
The winner and guest must have the identical travel itinerary and the winner and guest must be
the same people for the duration of the trip. All travel arrangements must be made through the
Contest Sponsor and must be confirmed by June 16, 2014. Once the tickets are issued, the
names of the travelers cannot be changed. The winner and guest are solely responsible for
obtaining any required travel documents and for ensuring that such documents are valid prior to
and for the entire duration of the trip. The right to the Prize, or to participate as a guest in the
Prize, will be forfeited if for any reason, the winner or guest does not have appropriate travel
documentation. In the event any portion of the Prize is unavailable for any reason (including if the
NFL game is postponed or cancelled), the balance of the Prize will be awarded in full satisfaction of the Prize and the Contest Sponsor is not responsible for providing any replacement for the postponed, cancelled or unavailable component. Any unused portion of the Prize is forfeited and has no cash value. The Contest Sponsor makes no express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind with respect to safety, appearance or performance of the Prize or any Prize-related activity. 6. ODDS OF WINNING

The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the
Contest Period.
7. COMPLETION OF PRIZE CLAIM

Before being declared a winner, the potential winner will first be required to (i) correctly answer a
mathematical skill-testing question without assistance by e-mail or by phone; (ii) complete, sign
and return a declaration of eligibility, liability release and publicity consent (collectively, a
Declaration”) within five (5) business days following the potential winner's receipt of the prize
notification; and (iii) otherwise comply with these Official Rules. In addition, the potential winner
must provide photo identification establishing that he or she has reached the age of majority in
his/her province/territory of residence. If a potential winner is unable to be contacted, fails to
correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question in the manner prescribed, fails to return
the Declaration within the specified time period, declines the Prize for any reason, or is otherwise
not in compliance with these Official Rules, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable,
the Contest Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, select an alternate eligible entrant or elect not to
award the Prize at all. In order to participate in the Prize, winner’s guest must also sign a liability
release and publicity consent unless the winner is the parent or legal guardian of the guest, in
which case the winner must sign a liability release and publicity consent in respect of his/her
child/ward. Winner’s guest must also provide photo identification establishing that he or she has
reached the age of majority in his/her province/territory of residence (unless the guest is the child
of the potential winner). Failure to comply with the foregoing requirements will result in the guest
of the winner not being able to participate in the Prize.
Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission to use the winner’s and guest’s name, city of
residence, biographical information, comments, photos and/or likeness for the purposes of
advertising without further compensation, as permitted by law.
8. AWARDING OF PRIZES

Once confirmed, winner will be informed of the steps he/she must take to receive the Prize. The
Prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and is not convertible to cash. Use of the
Prize, or any portion thereof, for a contest or re-sale is strictly prohibited. No substitution of prizes
will be permitted, except by the Contest Sponsor who may substitute the Prize or any portion of
the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion. The Contest Sponsor's
obligation to the winner is limited to the Prize specified above.
9. RELEASE

By entering the Contest and/or accepting a prize, the entrant agrees to release and hold harmless
the Contest Sponsor, the National Football League, its member professional football clubs, NFL
Ventures, Inc., NFL Ventures, L.P., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google and each of their
respective parent companies, direct and indirect subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their
respective directors, officers, employees, partners and agents (the “Released Parties”) from any
liability whatsoever and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses
or damages of any kind arising out of, or in connection with, the Contest or acceptance,
possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or
damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. The Released Parties make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize and disclaim any implied warranty.
10. PRIVACY
Personal data supplied by entrants when they enter the Contest is collected by the Contest Sponsor and not by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google and will be used by the Contest Sponsor for the purposes of administering the Contest, including contacting and announcing the winner. Personal data may also be disclosed to third parties as necessary to administer the Contest and award the Prize. The Contest Sponsor may combine personal data provided by entrants with other information previously submitted to it. Personal data collected through www.nfltailgate.ca, including data provided in connection with this Contest is subject to and will be handled in accordance with the privacy policy located at NFLtailgate.ca/privacy. 11. GENERAL
The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to enter, notify the potential winner or deliver the Prize. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the winner, or the distribution of any prize. The Contest Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions including lost, misappropriated or corrupted entries, virus, worm or Trojan Horse damage or any other damage which may limit a participant's ability to participate in the Contest. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or (iii) to be acting in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDY FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW Subject in Québec to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this Contest at any time without prior notice or obligation, subject to applicable laws. For Québec residents, any litigation regarding the conduct reorganization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. 12. WINNER’S LIST

For the name of the winner, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient
