Eligibility requirementsLincoln Long-Term CareSM Fixed Annuity will have a simplified eligibility process that includes medical statements on the application and a prescription drug screening.
If all medical statements are true, then an application may be submitted. The prescription drug screening will be completed by Lincoln when the application is received.
The fol owing guidelines will help give you an idea of whether your clients will be able to meet the eligibility requirements for Lincoln Long-Term CareSM Fixed Annuity.
Clients who have not been previously declined for long-term care coverage (by Lincoln or any other carrier) and can answer TRUE to ALL of the fol owing questions may be qualified for a Lincoln Long-Term CareSM Fixed Annuity.
Your client has NOT been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia,
or they are NOT taking any medication for memory loss.
Your client does NOT use a cane (any variety), walker or wheelchair on a regular
or intermittent basis. They are NOT taking any narcotic drug or prescription pain medication on a regular basis.
Your client does NOT have emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
(COPD), chronic lung disease or congestive heart failure. The client is NOT using oxygen for any reason, has NOT been the recipient of an organ transplant or is NOT on dialysis.
Your client has NOT been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis or
