SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES General Information
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention. NOTE! Keep affected person away from heat, sparks and flames!
Inhalation
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. For breathing difficulties oxygen may be necessary. If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration. Provide rest, warmth and fresh air. Get prompt medical attention.
CB200 SDS Rev. 0 Page 3 of 10 Ingestion
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS! If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs. Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water (200-300 ml). Get medical attention.
Skin Contact
Promptly flush contaminated skin with water. Promptly remove clothing if soaked through and flush the skin with water. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
Eye Contact
Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes.
4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
General Information
NOTE! Effects may be delayed. Keep affected person under observation.
Inhalation Skin Contact
May cause serious chemical burns to the skin.
Eye Contact
May cause severe irritation to eyes and mucous membranes. Causes burns.
4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
NOTE! Effects may be delayed. Keep affected person under observation.
SECTION 5: FIREFIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing Media
Fire can be extinguished using: Foam. Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite etc. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Water spray, fog or mist.
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards
FLAMMABLE. Vapours are heavier than air and may spread near ground to sources of ignition. May travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back. Closed containers may rupture when exposed to extreme heat.
Specific Hazards
Fire creates: Toxic gases/vapours/fumes of: Carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon dioxide (CO2). Refer to section 10 of this safety data sheet for more information on hazardous decomposition products.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures
Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Containers close to fire should be removed or cooled with water. Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out. Keep run-off water out of sewers and water sources. Dike for water control.
Protective Measures In Fire
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASEMEASURES
6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.
Do not discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Extinguish all ignition sources. Avoid sparks, flames, heat and smoking. Ventilate. Avoid contact with skin or inhalation of spillage, dust or vapour. Absorb spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material. Collect spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material into suitable containers, seal securely and deliver for disposal according to local regulations.
CB200 SDS Rev. 0 Page 4 of 10
For personal protection, see section 8. For waste disposal, see section 13.
SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
Static electricity and formation of sparks must be prevented. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Use explosion proof electric equipment. Container must be kept tightly closed. Avoid spilling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Empty containers should not be re-used. Ventilate well, avoid breathing vapours. Use approved respirator if air contamination is above accepted level. Do not use in confined spaces without adequate ventilation and/or respirator. Persons susceptible to allergic reactions should not handle this product.
7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep in original container. For maximum shelf life, store in closed original container at temperatures between 4 - 10ºC (see Technical Data Sheet for more product specific storage instructions).
Storage Class Component B Component A
The identified uses for this product are detailed in Section 1.2.
SECTION 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Ingredient Comments Protective Equipment
Engineering Measures
Explosion-proof general and local exhaust ventilation.
Respiratory Equipment
No specific recommendation made, but respiratory protection must be used if the general level exceeds the recommended occupational exposure limit. Chemical respirator with organic vapour cartridge.
Hand Protection
Protective gloves must be used if there is a risk of direct contact or splash. Use protective gloves made of: Neoprene. Nitrile. Butyl rubber. The most suitable glove must be chosen in consultation with the gloves supplier, who can inform about the breakthrough time of the glove material.
Eye Protection
Use approved safety glasses with side shields. If risk of splashing, wear safety goggles or face shield.
Other Protection
Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of liquid contact and repeated or prolonged vapour contact.
Hygiene Measures
