14-15 year-old riders must compete in at least one IJSBA sanctioned event to be eligible. Riders
will be able to sign up for the World Finals via on-line entry beginning July 1.
Note 2
14- and 15-year-old riders are eligible to qualify for Amateur Freestyle. The top placing 14-15
year-old Amateur Freestyle rider in the Amateur Freestyle class from each region will be invited to
compete in Amateur 14-15 Freestyle at World Finals. This class is only available at the World
Finals.
Note 3
Qualifying not required. Riders will be able to sign up for the World Finals via on-line entry
beginning July 1.
Note 4
Novice riders who participate in a National Tour event will earn qualifying points for World Finals
in that region.
Pro Riders
Pro riders who participate in a National Tour or Regional pro-am class are eligible to participate in
any pro and/or pro-am watercross class at the World Finals. Pro riders who participate in a
Motorsurf pro class are eligible to participate in any pro and/or pro-am watercross class at the
World Finals.
Freestyle
A Pro-Am Freestyle class will be offered at National Tour events. The top 10 points-earning riders
from the Pro-Am Freestyle class on National Tour will qualify for World Finals. Pro riders within
the top 10 will qualify for the Pro Freestyle class. Expert riders within the top 10 will qualify for the
Amateur Freestyle class.
Amateur 14-15
Riders must be 14 or 15 to compete in Amateur 14-15 Ski Stock, Amateur 14-15 Ski Limited and
Amateur 14-15 Freestyle. 15-year-olds who have competed in the Amateur 14-15 classes, but
turn 16 during the current calendar year, may continue to compete in the 14-15 year old classes
until December 31.
National Tour
If a rider qualifies from both the National Tour and within a region, the rider will be selected from
the Tour and a position will open within that region.
Regional Racing Allocations
The top 40 percent of points-earning riders as of August 24 in each watercross (closed-course)
class within a region will qualify for the World Finals. Points-earning riders outside of the top 40
percent will be considered alternates.
Notifying Riders
Riders can check their qualifying status at www.ijsba.com. Riders who have qualified can sign-up
on-line at www.ijsba.com. The cut-off date for qualifying events is August 24. Some regions will
be finished before this date.
